Byron Bay

Ben and I have now been in Byron Bay for three weeks! Our plan is to be here for the next few months, work a little and really get a feel for what Byron Bay is all about.

So far we absolutely love it. The people are friendly, the beaches have fun waves, the shops are funky and interesting, and we have fallen head over heels for the Railway Hotel with their good food and fair dinkum foot-tapping live music seven nights a week. We first stumbled upon a folk duo from Mullumbimby, the Starboard Cannons, and thought they were absolutely wonderful. Since then we’ve seen rock, blues and a packed out, dancing-on-tables Flamenco performance on Sunday night.

As Ben and I are now both successfully employed, I have had less opportunity to get out and about with my camera. However, I thought I should pick the best of the past few weeks and put them up for you all to see.

The first few shots were taken when we first arrived, in the bright sunshine that lulled us into a false sense of security. The rest of the photos were taken during the storm that came through two weeks ago, and ending with the sunshine that finally started to peek through the clouds again this morning.

  1. This is exactly the second blog post, of yours I actually went through.
Although I personally like this specific 1, “Byron Bay | A photo tour
of the Byron landscapeLong Road to London” the best.
